Put Your Investment Dollars In Your Pantry?

You may not know this but in a time of inflation (like NOW) and rising food prices (like NOW) it’s actually better to invest your money in food for your pantry, investment speaking. For more information you can read up on it at THIS Wall Street Journal article entitled “Load up the Pantry”. But for the short story of the article…basically food prices are rising faster than your interest rate in your savings account so you can make more money on your food than the money sitting in your savings account.

Emergency Essentials

The Group Program is a simple, convenient, and affordable way for family, friends & neighbors to work together to obtain discounts on items relating to home storage and emergency preparedness. Each month four or five items are available at a quantity discounted price. Group members are invited to combine their orders through their Group Leader to meet the minimum purchase requirements. There is no shipping cost for the entire order when one or more minimums are met.

Placing an Order on "Hold" is a benefit the Group receives. This means a Group can start an order then later add items. This secures items that may be low in quantity to ensure that the product is "held" for your Group.

Exactly What Does a Basic 1 Year Food Storage for 1 Person Look Like?
These are the MINIMUM Basic Amounts of Food Needed for Survival for ONE PERSON for ONE YEAR:

I figured out the cost of these items if you were to purchase them from an LDS Home Storage Center, however, they don't carry oil or salt, the price of those items is from Sam's Club (Costco).

Grain 400# = $122.40

Sugar 60# = 52.05

Legumes 60#= 43.20

Milk 15# = 26.70

Oil 10 Qts = 13.76

Salt 8# = 1.96

Total $260.07
